EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM 05/04/24

Name: Theo
Animal ID: A837007
Age: 11 months
Weight: 130lbs
About: Theo is a stunning, BIG boy looking to find placement with an adopter or foster through PACC by 3pm on Saturday May 4, 2024.

Theo originally was surrendered to our substation in Ajo, where he spent a short amount of time before being brought down to PACC. According to his prior home he has nipped/bitten four times, most resulting around resource guarding high value items or forced handling, with two resulting in minor breaks in skin.

Theo was noted to have had two altercations with the other dogs in the prior home, both resulting around the interactions with livestock/chickens and did not like to share his food with the other dogs. Aside from that, the owners stated he was a very good dog and knows sit, shake, stay and lay down.

While in the shelter, Theo has been learning to trust handlers, he has been sweet with handlers who take their time and go slow. He is nervous when meeting new people and needs some leash training but did well when meeting new dog friends in a playgroup setting; Theo was tolerant of the other dogs and didn’t seem to care too much about them, mostly doing his own thing.
If you are interested in Theo, you MUST come to PACC before his deadline on 05/04/24 before 3pm to meet with one of our counselors to discuss all his history, after that you will get to meet with Theo in a yard to see if you will be a good match for him.
