EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE by 3PM 05/10/24

Name: Dubuque
Animal ID: A832021
Age: 1 year 3 months
Weight: 50.50lbs.

About: Meet this stunning, energetic, boy named Dubuque. Dubuque will need to find placement with a foster or a Fur-ever adopter before 3pm on 05/10/24, through PACC.

Dubuque came to the shelter as a stray on February 20, 2024, so we don’t have information about how he does in a home. We do know that he's handsome, friendly, energetic, goofy, and has a ton of potential!

Dubuque was nervous when he first arrived at the shelter, and unfortunately over his three months stay he has started to decline in this loud environment. But volunteers that work with him have seen that "he's an energetic, happy dog who will thrive in an active home." Even though he requires a specific kennel routine "he eagerly takes a toy from me when it's time for a walk and carries it the whole way, happy to show his prize to anyone passing by. Dubuque is easy to walk (a bit pull-y, but nothing a bit of consistency and training can't fix) and is always in a good mood." Once he leaves the shelter, he's a different dog.

This normally bright and happy boy really needs to get into a home where he can decompress from the stress of kennel life. He'd probably make a fantastic adventure buddy, but we're also pretty sure there's a couch potato hidden in there once he's had a chance to unwind a bit. He's smart and treat-motivated, and really just a very nice dog.

Dubuque is a friendly boy with lots of energy, he will need to meet any dogs that he will be living with. When meeting dogs in a playgroup setting, he was forward and at times was not respecting when other dogs would ask for space, so he might be too much for some dogs. But he has done well with multiple kennel-mates in the past.

If you are interested in meeting Dubuque, you MUST come to PACC before 3pm on 05/10/24 to meet with one of our counselors to discuss his history and then meet him in a yard to be sure you will be a good fit for him. He can be fostered or adopted through PACC!
