Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:

Dipper sounds like a wonderful dog with a lot of potential for a loving home. His progress with doorways and leash walking shows that he's trainable and adaptable. It's great that he responds well to positive reinforcement and has learned to walk calmly on a leash. His ability to stay on the right side and sit when you stop walking demonstrates good leash manners.

His responsiveness to his name and willingness to go to his crate when asked indicates he's attentive and cooperative. Being crate trained is a valuable skill that can help him feel secure in his environment.

Given his need for time and a safe space to feel comfortable, it's important for potential adopters to understand the importance of patience and providing a nurturing environment. Having other dogs in the home can provide him with companionship and guidance as he continues to adjust.

It's also wise to consider his need for a home without small children, as it's essential to ensure a safe and stress-free environment for both Dipper and any children in the household.

Overall, Dipper sounds like a loyal and loving companion who has a lot to offer to the right family willing to provide him with the care and attention he deserves.
