Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Santiago is a special pup who came to PACC with a group of more than 20 dogs. With so many dogs in one home, it’s difficult for each individual to get the love, care and socialization that they need. So, Santiago needs TLC and a bit of patience- he’s a shy boy who hasn’t had much experience with normal doggy things. Kind attention from humans is something he’s still learning about! But, he’s made tons of progress here in the shelter, so we know that his future is bright in a loving home!! Here’s what one volunteer said about him:

“Santiago was nervous when I took he and his kennelmate to a play yard on Tuesday. His kennelmate was a social butterfly and it had a positive effect on Santiago. He followed her lead and came to me, made eye contact, and took cheese from my hand. He's a sweetheart and will make a loyal pet once he has time to decompress and build trust.”

Santiago is a sweet, loving dog who will just need a bit of support from a loving family to thrive. He’s shared his kennel politely with more than one other PACC pup, and a calm confident friend who can show him the ropes in his future home would be great for him. Please consider opening up your home to a sweet dog that needs a soft place to land!
