Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Lover Boy is a handsome hunk who is more than ready to live up to his name- this big boy has tons of love to share with someone very lucky!! He’s young, active, and definitely not cut out for life in the shelter. Lover Boy is ready to leave his cramped kennel behind for greener pastures! He loves his time out of the kennel and romantic walks in the park (his name is Lover Boy after all) and would be a great companion for daily walks or hikes.

Lover Boy headed out to a foster home earlier this year, but a good Samaritan recently found him out and about on his own and brought him safely back to the shelter. His finder said that Lover Boy did wonderfully with their two-year-old kiddo and was gentle, respectful, and even concerned about her when she took a tumble. He also met the resident cat, gave it a sniff, and respected her requests for space (a swift swat to the snoot). Lover Boy was immediately playful with the finder’s large dog and was a very good boy with everyone in the household., including a small dog who preferred to keep their distance. Lover Boy slept near his finder and was a big cuddlebug who loved playing with balls and rope toys. His finder also said that he listed well, was housebroken while with them, and described him as cuddly, sweet, and energetic. We’d say that’s a rave review for Lover Boy! Five Stars!!

Here's what Lover Boy’s friends at the shelter have said:

“I took Lover Boy to a Saturday afternoon public play group, and he did well. He took treats nicely while we waited for our turn to enter the yard. Lover Boy is a nice boy!”

“Lover Boy was excited in his kennel, but he relaxed once we got outside and we had a nice walk together. He sat nicely for treats and enjoyed sniffing as we walked. He's just a big puppy with energy to burn!”

Lover Boy has shared his kennel and has been social, playful, and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask to meet Lover Boy today!!
