Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Meet Chicken Wing, the resilient and talkative feline with a heart as big as his appetite for wet food. At six years old, Chicken Wing has faced challenges head-on, having had his front left leg amputated due to a chronic wound. Despite his unique physicality, he navigates his world with grace and enthusiasm. In a calm and loving home environment, Chicken Wing has not been exposed to children or other cats, but he has encountered a medium-sized pitbull mix, initially expressing hesitation and nervousness. Over time, he has adapted and become more comfortable, though he remains a bit wary, emitting the occasional hiss.

This three-legged wonder still enjoys reaching new heights, often found perched on kitchen counters or nestled on a dresser or chair with a cozy blanket. Chicken Wing's playful spirit shines through as he engages with treat puzzles and mesh dental cleaning toys. Despite his initial apprehension, he's a vocal conversationalist who craves attention and adores head scratches. While he may exhibit some sassy behavior, especially in unfamiliar situations, Chicken Wing's love for treats and meal times helps build bridges. To ensure he stays on a balanced diet, it's recommended to keep tempting morsels securely stored away when he's left alone. Overall, Chicken Wing is a charismatic and active companion, proving that a missing leg doesn't hinder his zest for life.
