Looking for an active pal to keep you on the move and join you on all of your adventures? Harley is your girl! This energetic, athletic young Shepherd is smart as a whip and has boundless energy. With a bit of training and structure, she’ll be the perfect sidekick!

Harley was initially found as a stray and stayed with her finder for a few weeks. She was reportedly housebroken, listened well and loved to use her voice to tell her foster all her opinions. Harley was adopted and spent about six months in another home where she was again housebroken and was also crate trained. Her former people said that she loves to roll in the grass and to play in the water from the hose. She did well with dogs of all sizes but is not a fan of cats. That home ultimately wasn’t the right fit, so Harley is back on the market for a forever family!

Harley also spent a short stay in a foster home where she was housebroken and crate trained, doing well in her crate when left home alone. She bonded to her foster person and loved to lay near them and stick close to them.

Here’s what Harley’s at the shelter had to say:

“I had a good walk with Harley in the desert away from the shelter noise and she had a good time sniffing around. She knows sit, watch me, and possibly paw and she takes treats gently. Harley is a sweet girl who needs a quiet home.”

“Harley was easy to leash in her kennel and happily munched on a treat. She is a nice walker as well. A nice dog who is very playful!”

Harley has been playful, social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She has lots of puppy energy and loves to run and play chase with the other dogs. This girl would love to find a breed savvy family who not only understands what a typical Shepherd needs, but who will give Harley a bit of time to decompress from her time in the shelter and adjust to a new home and family. She’ll do best in a quiet home environment rather than an apartment or shared environment and is looking for a home without young kiddos. Ask to meet Harley today!!
