Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Jett, who used to go by the name Chet (or Chetasaurus Rex for his short little legs) is young, active, bouncy and 100% not cut out for life in the shelter! This goofy low rider should be running zoomies in a yard of his own, heading out on adventures with his family, and honing all of his very good boy skills!

Jett spent about eight months in a home but has sadly found himself back in the shelter. He did well with kiddos in that home and was both housebroken and crate trained. His former people described him as playful and affectionate- he loves toys, loves to be close to his people, and is a smart boy who knows tricks like sit and stay. Jett is deeply loyal to his family and can be protective when it comes to strangers, so needs a savvy family who will give him a safe space of his own when needed. Good thing he’s already crate trained!

Jett’s sparkling personality has made him a shelter favorite- here’s what his volunteer friends have said:

“It seems that everyone knows and loves Jett! Jett is extremely well behaved in his kennel--he settles down easily and plays nicely with his toys. He is frequently found sitting or laying down in adorable positions, and takes enrichment treats politely. Jett accepts praise very calmly and sweetly-- a very polite gentleman. He has a wonderful smile and loves all the treats he gets. He always eats his breakfast quickly and seems very adaptable. A wonderful dog who will thrive away from the noisy shelter!”

“Today Jett was calm in his kennel and we headed out on a walk. He did his business as soon as we got outside like a good boy and we headed for the park. He sat nicely for treats and took them very nicely from my hand. We had a nice walk together, mostly loose leash, and enjoyed exploring around the lake. Jett was very observant and calm as we walked. A very good boy!!”

“Jett really enjoys exploring and sniffing all the smells on his walk. He’s bouncy and is very enthusiastic for attention. He’s very smart and knows his cues for sit, look, and come.”

Jett shares his kennel with another PACC pup, though a well- managed intro to furry friends is always a good idea! If you’re looking for a wingman who’s always up for some fun, ask to meet Jett today!!
