Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Max was surrendered by his owner, her husband passed away and she cannot walk him properly as she walks with a cane.

When I went to the kennel to get Max, he was curled up on his bed sleeping. I didn’t want to disturb him, but I assumed he’d love a trip outside, so when he opened his eyes, I asked if he wanted to go outside and he slowly got up. ??

Max is easy to leash up and walked calmly past many kenneled dogs on his way outside. Max is likely housetrained, as he pottied immediately and several times once outside. Max is also NEUTERED!

Max enjoyed full body scritches and didn’t jump at all. He noticed a dog a couple of runs away but didn’t fixate. He also noticed a dog on leash about 50 feet away and didn’t focus on that dog either.

Max is gentle and super sweet. He’s taller (and heavier!!) than a typical pittie so I honestly think he could be a presa mix or something along those lines.

Seniors do not deserve to spend their golden years in a shelter. Max deserves a comfy bed or couch and humans to spoil him. Rescue Max and give him that chance!
