Contact the foster at nathanrice728@gmail.com to meet Boogie!

Meet Boogie, the most adorable little stinker! This sweet, loyal, loving guy is likely a cross between an Australian Cattle Dog and a Beagle. He's a particularly beautiful dog, too, with a gorgeous, shiny, soft black coat with red and white accents and glowy amber eyes. He is about 2.5 years old, 46lb, neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on his shots, a good eater, friendly with kids, adults, and dogs (cats are unknown at this point), and is house/crate trained. He's a bit of a velcro dog, and he's attached himself to our 12 year old son and me. I adore it, but make sure you want a velcro dog before getting one! He's very playful with some dogs but not all, and he can play all day. While he loves to walk, which is important in getting his Cattle Dog energy out, he's not a great walker yet. He likely wasn't on a leash early in life, so he struggles. He also is quite vocal and excited when another dog passes by so we're working on it, but trust me, he's so cute that you'll make it work! More importantly, he'll relax over time and get used to the routine. Like with any Cattle Dog, he can mouth when he gets excited. It's never aggressive or mean - it's just what herding dogs are bred to do. He will do much better in a home with older children, as a result. Sometimes he whines in excitement or because his little velcro heart simply misses you, so apartments are probably not a great place for him to live. He's such a sweet, loyal, special little boy, and my family and I think the world of him. He's not without his quirks, yes, but personally, I think that just makes him even more lovable. Now let's find this baby his perfect forever home!
