Today I: Met two new friends! I was soooo excited to meet them! Once they helped me with my leash and harness, we went for a car ride! Oh, I love car rides! I even napped a little! Then we went to a park and explored. I saw dogs and people and bikes and cars – they were interesting, but my new friends had cookies! And those are so much better ? I got a little sore, so we sat on a bench and I snuggled with my new friends and then took a pup-nap! Then we went to a store and I got to sniff all the foods and toys and treats! And then another car ride, where I took an even longer pup-nap! Let’s do that again soon!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Joyful – snuggly - enthusiastic

Notes from My Walker: Joy is a delight! She was so excited when we met her that it took a few moments to get the harness on, but once we did, she was ready to go! She rode beautifully in the car, and was great on leash. She was interested in other dogs, but was happy to be distracted with a treat or two. Joy’s leg was bothering he a bit so we cut the hike short and sat on a bench, where she hopped up, snuggled on our laps, asked for kisses, and promptly dozed off! Joy is a snorty girl, so we stuck to shady areas and sat under some trees to stay cool. Our visit to Pet Food Express was a big hit – she sniffed everything and seemed to enjoy just hanging out in the store. On the way back to the shelter, she fell asleep again, but was awake and friendly when the staff came to return her to her kennel. Joy is a sweet, lovely girl who deserves a home where she can take little walks, get lots of snuggles, and have a nice bed where she can nap and show of her bully snores ?
