Today I: Took a ride in a car, which made me nervous, but then I went on a long walk with my new friends. We saw dogs and people and bikes and cars, but none of that bothered me. I was having too much fun walking and sniffing! After the big walk we went in the car again, then to a place that had soooo many things to sniff! I walked quietly and slowly around and got to take my time checking out everything. After that, getting in the car was easier because my friends helped me to not be as nervous.

Three Words to Describe Me are: Careful – Stoic - Gentle
Notes from My Walker: Rufus is a fantastic boy! He walks beautifully on leash, directly at the walker’s side and does not pull at all. He takes his time sniffing, and shares messages, but does not mark nearly as much as expected for an unaltered male. He is nervous getting into and out of the car, but with some gentle words and coaxing, he gets in, sits nicely, and gets out. He did jump in one of the times, so he seems to be getting the hang of it! At Pet Food Express he had a lovely time checking out all of the smells in the store and was not intimidated by new people or barking dogs. Rufus is a gentleman who deserves a home where he can get regular exercise and be the companion dog he is meant to be.
