Update: Dog caused injury to staff redirecting on staff after fence fight with neigbor dog when taking out on walk. The dog attempted bites while being redirected on leash. Despite the leash redirection some bite made contact causing bruising but had a strong possibility of full punctured if dog would have been allowed full contact. MK.

Reason animal needs rescue: Length of stay ~6 months, behavior is declining due to poor mental health
Type: Behavior, extended length of stay
Date animal needs rescue by: End of April, 2 wks ideally
Impound type: OS
Off stray hold: Yes
Additional notes: Phoenix was one of our parvo survivors. She came to the shelter in September really sick with parvo, but beat the odds and survived. She was adopted, then returned. She has spent basically her entire life in the shelter and deserves to be rescued and/or adopted. She did have one questionable behavioral incident in February, where she became over-stimulated by a dog in another kennel who was barking, and redirected onto the handler biting at their stomach. No skin was broken. Today she was very mild mannered in her kennel, curious about what I was doing, and was in general very sweet. No other behavior incidents.
