I am a neutered male, black and white Pit Bull Terrier and Queensland Heeler.

I weigh approximately 67.00 lbs.

The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old.

I have been at the shelter since Oct 18, 2023 and am ready to go home today!

I am currently in foster care but am available for adoption! If you are interested in adopting me, please email PACC.AdoptAFoster@pima.gov.

About: What’s black and white and a very good boy?? Leo!! This handsome young boy is smart, energetic and athletic- he loves his daily walks with his volunteer pals. Leo needs to find placement with either a foster or an adopter through PACC. He is on an Emergency Placement Deadline for 3pm on 02/26/24 due to kennel census being high.
During a stay in one foster home Leo was a quiet houseguest who enjoyed daily walks with his foster people. He did well when meeting kids as young as four years old and with the resident small dogs. Leo was housebroken and will sometimes even bring you his leash to let you know he needs to go outside. His foster described him as friendly, smart, affectionate and cuddly.
In his most recent foster home, we learned that Leo is incredibly smart and is motivated with treats, toys, affection and praise. He, however, does not respond well to negative corrections, or use of force that is physical handling to redirect his attention.
In the shelter Leo is a favorite of both volunteers and PACC staff. He is amazing in playgroups with other dogs, he shares his kennel with another PACC resident dog, he is a sweet, and friendly boy.
