When there’s more than one lady named Roxy at the shelter, you get a second name to make you stand out! Roxy was surrendered to the shelter because her owner moved and couldn't take her along. She lived in that home her entire life and her person said that she loves the outdoors and did well with another dog in the home, though she is not a fan of cats. She's been friendly and playful with kids aged 10 and older and is a silly, energetic, and active girl. She was housebroken in her former home and enjoyed snoozing on the couch. Her person said that she is a happy girl and a great companion. Roxy also spent a bit of time in a foster home where she was described as a great pup and a quiet, polite houseguest. She enjoyed sleeping near her foster person at night and playing with tennis balls. Her foster said that she is very smart, friendly, and cuddly. Here’s what the shelter volunteers have said about her: “Roxy Rosie warms up to you quickly and eagerly ask for affection; she has a very expressive tail wag and responds well to praise. She responds well to her handler when she feels comfortable and gets some initial zoomies out. A sweet, social girl who would surely do well outside the stressful kennel environment.” “Roxy-Rosie is a sweet girl who will make a beeline to do her business when taken out. She is a strong dog who settles down after she gets her bathroom break. A sweet girl who enjoys affection.” Roxy was playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup but doesn't always pick up on it when the other dogs need a break, so she'd like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it's a good fit.
