Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Luke is a friendly boy who found himself at PACC through no fault of his own. He spent about six weeks in a foster home where he absolutely thrived- here’s what his foster said:

“Someone foster or adopt this sweet boy! He was in our college household for over a month and was amazing!

- Completely housetrained
- Knows sit, paw, hug, and lay down
- Great on the leash
- Kennel trained
- Amazing cuddle buddy

We let Luke have free roam of the house when gone and had no problems. Luke is just a big baby- he likes to sleep not just in the bed, but under the covers. He’ll paw at the blanket until you lift it up so he can climb in. He’s a great cuddle buddy. He really is just a sweet boy- Luke will always make you feel loved, wanted and special.”

Here’s what some of Luke’s friends at the shelter have said:

“Luke is one of my favorite dogs to walk. He always has his front feet up on the kennel door to greet me when I approach. Tail wagging, big smile on his face. Today we walked all the way around the lake and he did lots of sniffing and spotting birds near the water. He's such an explorer, and he would make a GREAT adventure dog! Luke sat and shook perfectly for treats as usual and was a nice walking buddy. He's such a sweet boy!!!”

“Another volunteer and I took Luke on a quick shelter break today. He hopped right in the car and rode great in the backseat, resting his head on my shoulder at times while I drove. He was patient while we went through a drive thru for some snacks, then we headed to the park. Luke enjoyed rolling in the grass, quietly chewing his toys in the shade, running a few zoomies, and getting belly rubs. He's a fan of French fries and was very polite when taking them. This boy is a total doll- loving, affectionate, silly, and sweet. Total catch!!”

During his most recent evaluation with other shelter dogs, Luke was playful, social, and very bouncy- and he loooves the doggy pool! He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Luke has been in the shelter system for far too long and truly deserves to find a family and a forever home. Please ask to meet Luke today!
