Hey everybody! Guess what? It’s my birthday month! And all I want for my birthday is to find my furever retirement home. I’m a senior gal with a beautiful tri-color coat and the kindest face you’ve ever seen. If you take me home with you I promise I will be a pure delight for that slow going person, couple, or family.

I was brought to PACC as a stray but I already know many commands. I know not to go potty in the house and have not had a single accident since being with my foster family. Just let me out every 6-7 hours and when I’m done I will gently paw on the door to let you know I am ready to come back in. I will come when I’m called even if it takes me a bit of time to get up. I sit and lay down on command but know lots more things that my foster peeps just haven’t figured out yet.

Speaking of walks, I enjoy slow, short walks. I will sit nicely to get leashed up and will wag my tail to let you know I’m ready! I will sometimes pull a little bit if I see or smell something interesting but like I said I mostly just enjoy a slow, short, easy walk. I am a true couch potato at heart but can’t climb up on the furniture by myself anymore. However, if you have one of those ramps I’d love cuddling up by you on the couch. So if you’re into “Netflix and Chill,” I’m your gal! But don’t be surprised if I venture off into snooze land. I’m told I have the cutest little snore but I don’t know for sure because I’m asleep when I do it. Duh!

I love to be pet. I mean, who doesn’t? I give gentle kisses and have been known to give occasional nudges if I want more pets. I’m a polite lady with excellent manners though, and will generally wait for you to love on me and then will soak it all in. I enjoy going outside during the cool part of the day and taking a short stroll in the yard. After this little exploratory excursion I’ll then lay down in the yard to take in all the happenings and smells. I love being around my peeps so if you like your coffee outside in the morning I would love laying down nearby and enjoying that with you.

Like I said, I’m a polite lady and will be a quiet girl even when the UPS peeps come ringing the bell. The only time I bark is at those kitty-cat creatures but only when they are running or climbing. I do think kitty cats are interesting and just fine to have around but I don’t play with them just cause I’m an older gal. I’m usually tolerant and respectful of other calm dogs my size but I’d far prefer to be around peeps.

I have no problem sleeping in my crate at night quietly. I would, however, prefer a treat and a little encouragement to get in there at first. But once inside I won’t complain at all. I love, love, love getting treats but because my eyesight isn’t the best anymore I can get kinda’ excited about treats. My foster peeps are working with me on gently taking treats. I can also get excited when my peeps are eating but they’ve been working with me about not begging. Because I’m an older lady I have to have my kibble soaked in water so it’s soft enough for me to eat. But I AM a foodie and certainly enjoy my breakfast and dinner!

Overall I’m just an amazing girl with tons of love to give. Who’s ready to get it? I hope it’s you!
