Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Stevie is a friendly kitty who purrs with appreciation when you give him attention. He is a little on the shy side and would probably appreciate a quieter household.

Stevie is also FIV+, so he needs to be an inside only cat. FIV is slow acting, cat-only virus, and cannot be transmissible to humans, dogs, or other species of animals. FIV is not spread casually – like in litter boxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing. Instead, FIV is spread through serious, deep penetrating bite wounds -- The type of bite wound that is seen most often in feral, intact tomcats -- or by blood transfusions. Cats with FIV can live very long, perfectly comfortable lives. Provide FIV+ cats with a good diet and annual veterinarian exam, and address any secondary health concerns as they arise.

**WALK IN SHELTER TO ADOPT Tuesday Noon-5pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, Thursday-Sunday Noon-5pm (Closed Mondays and Holidays). All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
