CENSUS DEADLINE 3PM 04/30/24
Name: Popper
Animal ID: A835978
Age: 2 years
Weight: 60 lbs.
About: This is Popper, he is a handsome 2-year-old husky looking to find his FUR-ever home. Popper is on a census deadline and will need to find placement with a foster or and adopter before 3pm on April 30, 2024.

Popper arrived at PACC as an owner surrender at the beginning of April. He was surrender because his owner could no longer provide a safe environment for him after her jumped out of a window injuring himself. Popper has containment issues seen both in a home and in the shelter, he will need a home that can provide a secure yard and a strong crate; is already crate and house trained. Popper is a very smart boy, he knows sit, down, shake and dance tricks; we haven’t found out his favorite genre of music yet, though. He also loves to ride in the car. Popper has displayed people selectivity while in the shelter and in his previous home and will need to meet everyone in the household before going home and will likely need some decompression time. He also would appreciate a family that will respect his space, as he is not fully comfortable with handling, likely due to some injuries he suffered as a pup. Popper will need some training in order to curb some of his people and dog reactivity.

While here in the shelter Popper has meet other dogs, he gets overwhelmed when there are more than 5 dogs around and especially if they are high energy. He was able to find a buddy from playgroup that he has been sharing his kennel with; she is a shy quiet girl.

If you are interested in meeting Popper and you think your home would be a good fit, you MUST come to PACC and meet with a councilor to go over his history and then meet him in a yard before going home.
