Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
He’s still a shy gentle boy but now loves getting scratches, going on walks around the neighborhood and has even gotten braver at coming indoors. He loves the company other dogs and looks to them for confidence as he tends to be the submissive male and gets scared easily. He absolutely loves food and will scarf down any treat you are willing to give him(especially hotdogs and cheese) and takes them gently from our hands!

While we do have cats in the home, we keep them apart and we would probably suggest no cats first his adoptive family. He does alert and bark at strangers but then he runs away and avoids them so he would definitely be a great watch dog! He has never been around small children either as we are a busy house full of noisy teenagers so we aren’t sure how Max would respond to small children, most likely he would bypass them all together:)

His vivid orange and black brindled coat is stunning and his DNA analysis revealed that he is mainly Amstaff, Pitbull, Chow and German Shepard (the ears!). This sweet little guy will just take some love, patience and kindness to further develop his feeling of safety and security with humans as he’s had a rough start to his young life and deserves a lucky break!
