Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Dakota is a handsome black lab with a playful, happy personality. In his former home Dakota was housebroken and crate trained, did well with other dogs, and was described as affectionate and intelligent. He knows sit, stay, and paw and would love to learn more! Dakota’s former person said that he’s very friendly and loves people but is not a fan of cats. Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:

“I met Dakota for the first time today. He was easy to leash and walked nicely. It was pouring rain so we went to a play yard where he just wanted to stay by my side the whole time. He is very affectionate and cuddly and leans his whole weight into you. Super sweet boy who likes to be near his person. He was eager for treats and took them very gently, also knows “sit.” He will be a wonderful companion dog.”

Dakota has shared his kennel at the shelter politely and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He has done well with older kids but is looking for a home without young kiddos. Ask to meet Dakota today!
