Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Adam is a sweet puppy who came to the shelter with a big old bump on his noggin. He hit his head pretty hard on something and needed a bit of help from our shelter clinic. He’s feeling and looking much better these days- here’s what his friends at the shelter said:

“I met Adam for the first time yesterday and he is a total snugglebug! He was very excited to go out for a walk but was cooperative with leashing. I took him out to a play yard and he was mostly just interested in getting snuggles from me, but would also sit in exchange for treats (which he took gently). When I got up to take him back to the kennel, he got a sudden burst of zoomies and happily sprinted around the yard for a while. This goofy boy is very gentle and happy to be around people.”

“Adam is still a puppy, full of high energy that needs an outlet. He loves to roll on his back and get belly rubs. He loves treats which he takes gently. He also has an endearing habit of flopping down in the yard with his back legs fully extended froggy style. Overall, a very good boy!”

“Adam attended an offsite adoption event today and was absolutely perfect! He was very friendly and social with everyone he met and didn't seem to mind being in a busy, crowded environment. He also did very well being in close proximity to five other dogs during the event and was totally unphased by them. The event was geared towards children and he did especially well with them. He was happy to receive attention and pets by people of all ages. He even allowed one of our volunteers to place a little cowboy hat on him and kept it on for the full three hours! Adam is an easygoing, lovable dog who seems like he would fit very easily into just about any household.”

Everyone loves Adam and he’s been on tons of field trips- to explore the U of A, to take long walks, to enjoy a pup cup, to go on a hike, and even to do some shopping at the 4th Avenue street fair! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg- Adam is a true man about town and has been described as sweet, cuddly, energetic, friendly, happy, well- behaved and cuddly.

“He loves to cuddle up on your bed! Also a very energetic little puppy who loves to run and gets the zoomies!”

“Such a sweet and loveable dog! The best cuddler and very easygoing. Would be a great dog for any family. A fast walker who loves to lead the pack! We Love Adam!”

During a brief adoption Adam did well with large and small dogs, was housebroken, loved toys and care rides, and was described as affectionate and playful. Adam has shared his kennel politely and has been playful, social, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Adam today!!
