Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Captain weighs about 36lbs but is underweight. He was a stray so not much info on him.
He was found, and could not walk at all. Now he’s slowly walking and getting stronger every day! We know he has Valley Fever, which is a fungal infection that he needs to take medication for (not contagious).
He loves food and treats but no real interest in toys. He takes his meds like a champ. He is a very quiet boy, will whine a little to get out of crate in morning or when I first come home.
He’s great in crate, doesn’t seem to have separation anxiety and does well with my big, older, mellow dog.
He’s not completely housebroken but does well if he’s taken out often. He can’t lift his leg or squat well so he’s a little messy. I just use wipes and he’s very tolerant.
Captain is such an easy boy to foster. He’s sweet and loving and has the most expressive eyes.
He is available for Pre-adoption or foster and PACC will continue to provide him the care he needs.
