Meet Kino! Friendly, smart, treat- motivated and basically a pretty popular guy!! Here’s what his volunteer friends have said:

“Kino is a very cute and active boy. He loved sniffing and catching up on all of the smells on our walk today. He walked with a mostly loose leash too. We had a really nice walk together and he showed me his perfect sit in return for a treat, taking it nicely from my hand. Sweet boy!”

"Kino was very energetic in the yard today, treat motivated, knows sit. He also learned the agility course in no time! He mastered the A-frame within minutes and did a really good job with the weave poles too! Delightful little pup for an active family. He is smart and eager to learn tricks.”

“Kino was a very good boy on our walk this morning. We walked through the desert and he enjoyed sniffing and exploring. Most of the time he walked on a loose leash. Kino took treats gently and was comfortable with me petting him. He checked in with me regularly and had relaxed body language.”

Kino also spent several months in a foster home- here’s what his foster said:

“Kino is a very sweet dog. He is house trained and is good with older kids. He is crate trained and stayed happily in his crate during the day and overnight. He did not wake us up at night and waited patiently to be let out in the morning. He is a very food motivated dog and is playful. He can sit and lie down on command. He likes to fetch and play tug of war; he also likes squeaky and chewy toys and Kongs. Kino is a very curious dog. He loves to nap next to you on the couch. Kino has a very sweet heart and a sharp mind. He walks on a leash fairly well and will walk as fast as you let him! He can easily do a couple of miles once or twice a day. Kino is a very sweet and playful dog and was a delight to have in the house.”

During his time in the shelter Kino has also taken several field trips- he’s gotten to take extra-long walks, explore the U of A campus, and meet lots of new people:

“Kino is a very energetic young boy who would thrive anywhere he can be active. He was great at loving on people and gave lots of kisses.”

“Kino is a good listener, treat- motivated and does well in the car.”

“Kino loves the car- he’s the best passenger! He loves treats and is a great walker.”

Kino has been social and SUPER playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Kino today!!
