Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Gryffin is a sweet guy who has been building confidence and learning to while at the shelter. He’s made leaps and bound and we’re so proud of him! Here’s what some of his many fans have said:

“Gryffin is very friendly and active. He seems very social, spending most of his time trying to get his kennel mate to play. Gryffin is a handsome, lively partner with a lot of pep in his step!”

“First time walking Gryffin. What a friendly guy! He took treats eagerly in his kennel and was a nice walker. He knows "sit" and "shake". He's working on taking treats nicely, so we practiced that. On our walk it was easy to get his attention with a verbal command, and he was eager to sit and give good eye contact for a treat. He’s a very good boy!”

“I have only ever experienced Gryffin to be a sweet little muffin. He is not reactive to other dogs on walks, he allows petting, and is cheerful and alert on walks.”

“I have walked Gryffin many times now, starting from when he was new to the shelter and scared. Now he comes up ready for his walk and I can easily leash him. He accepts pets in the play yard and has even play bowed a few times. This evening, he engaged in a game of chase! So cute.”

“First time walking Gryffin. He was anxious for the first few minutes of our walk. He gradually began to relax, checking the scents and leaving a few of his own. He seemed to enjoy exploring the grassy field, and he would look back at me frequently. About 50% of the walk was loose-leash. Gryffin will take some time to gain confidence, but with a patient partner he should be able to blossom into a fine companion.”

“Gryffin was sweet when I walked him for the first time this week. He took treats from my hands and gave me a little tail wag. A bit head shy but exited without issues. He enjoyed exploring the park and sniffing everything with loose body language. Definitely knows sit and watch me. He gave me a big smile when I returned him to the kennel.”

Gryffin has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He can be assertive at times, so would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Gryffin will thrive in a home where he can be allowed time to decompress and feel safe. Ask to meet Gryffin today!!
