Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Cara is a perky-eared princess who came to PACC after likely being hit by a car. She has a bit of a hitch in her giddy- up, but has healed beautifully with the help of our shelter vets and clinic staff. Now, she’s ready to find a forever home!

Cara spent a couple of months in a foster home- here’s what her foster said about her:

“Cara has obviously been in a home before because she seems to be fully potty trained (yay!). She loves to cuddle with us and slept in the bed overnight. She takes treats from us gently and desires lots of attention!”

And here’s what Cara’s friends at the shelter have said:

“Cara looks so good after her foster vacation! She is easy to handle and not reactive to other dogs. She's much more interested in sniffing throughout her walks than treats. She's an independent girl for sure!”

“We took Cara and her kennelmate for a walk yesterday. She was easy to leash and walked out of the kennel confidently. She knows ‘sit' but will only do it for high value treats (isn't she smart?). She still has a slight limp but it doesn’t seem to bother her.”

Cara is a sweet girl who sure does love her humans! When meeting other dogs in playgroup she was a bit forward with greetings and would do best with a tolerant dog in her future home. No cats please! Ask to meet Cara today!!
