Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Martha Blue is happy heeler with a big personality and an infectiously happy demeanor! Martha lived in one home her whole life but has found herself at the shelter and is now in need of a new family. She has reportedly done well with kiddos and was housebroken and crate trained in her former home. Martha’s former person said that she likes playing fetch, entertains herself with toys, and is an affectionate girl who asks for pets and will sit right in your lap if you let her. She knows sit and shake and likes car rides too!! Martha is deaf, but that doesn’t stop this gal from living life to its fullest! Here’s what volunteers have said about her:

“Today I met Martha. Easy to leash and walks nicely. She is a sweet easy dog to spend time with. She liked to cuddle when I sat with her on the ground.”

“This was my second time meeting Martha, but she knew me immediately and obeyed signals/commands. She is deaf, but her intelligence, former training and friendliness with people compensates for her inability to hear. She is gentle taking treats, loves to be pet and enjoys affection.”

Martha shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Please ask to meet Martha Blue today!!
