Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Foster cat Roger has been with me since September 15,2022. In the time that he's been with me he has been letting his full, wonderful personality shine!

When he first came to me Roger was quite uncertain of a lot of things associated with indoor life. He was afraid of getting on any of the furniture, and was absolutely terrified of the TV - even if it was on but paused! But he's learned since then that furniture was made to snooze on and the TV is a great source of entertainment.

Roger is an absolute LOVER. If you simply look in his direction he will take that as an invitation to jump into your lap and request all the petting and snuggles that you're able to provide. He won't really take no for an answer. If you have caught his attention you will pay for it with pets and snuggles. He's also wonderfully playful and energetic. That's a slight problem when he wants to play with my ancient cats who hate playing. But he listens immediately when they tell him no. On his own he loves to chase and catch string-on-a-stick type toys, anything ball shaped, and any sort of plastic lid (water bottle, milk bottle, etc.). He also loves bird watching from the large front window.

Roger is diabetic and takes insulin injections twice daily. He's wonderful about his shots. He doesn't fight them or try to escape them. I simply show him the syringe, let him sniff it, and say "I'm going to give your insulin" and he sits still and allows me to do it. He's a little less compliant with checking his glucose levels, but he loves having his ears rubbed so he tolerates the spot checking of his glucose too.

Although it seems like Roger may have never been an indoor cat before he came home with me he is a perfect house cat. He has 100% litter box acceptance with several different kinds of litter (pine pellets, non-clumping clay (fragrance free), and clumping clay (fragrance free). He's never scratched any of the furniture, DOES scratch his scratching posts, and respects the rules for which counters he's allowed to be on and which ones he isn't
