Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Jinx is a bouncy young girl who is looking for her forever family- we know they’re out there!! Jinx has been in the shelter system since early 2022 and has spent time in both foster and adoptive homes. One former adopter described Jinx as very curious and bright, and said that she was housebroken and used a doggy door in their home. She also did great with a resident dog and enjoyed sleeping on the couch. Her foster said that she's very affectionate and cuddly, and generally quiet in the home. Jinx has also one well with kids ages 10 and 12.

In her most recent home, Jinx’s people described her as affectionate, and playful and said she loves toys, knows tricks, does well in the car and was crate trained.

“Jinx learns tricks and commands very quickly and is catching on quickly to potty training. She’s quiet overall, loves scratches, and will put her full weight on you to get them.”

Here’s what Jinx’s volunteer friends have said about her:

“Jinx is a friendly and affectionate dog. She is comfortable with affection and seeks it out quickly. I was really impressed by her shining personality away from the stressful environment of the kennel. She is quick to solicit affection and seeks out companionship frequently on her walk. She warms up very quickly and trusts her humans quickly as well. We went into the wash to avoid foot traffic, and Jinx had a blast. She was playful in exploring interesting smells, always checking back to lean against my legs for some more praise and affection. She’s an active and people-oriented little pal.”

“Jinx is lively, intelligent, and affectionate. Once away from the shelter, she got down to the serious business of exploring her surroundings. We had a delightful adventure exploring all the sights and smells in the wash, and we enjoyed a short jog in the soft sand. I took her through some rather confusing terrain (many animal trails) where she proved to be very responsive to both verbal and visual cues. She was completely non-reactive to cyclists who sped by on the loop. She is treat- motivated and eager to please, has a good sit, and takes treats with a gentle mouth. A fine dog.”

Jinx has shared her kennel with other playful dogs in the shelter and was social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before going home to make sure it’s a good fit and is looking for a home without cats or other small pets. Jinx has not had much stability in her young life and truly deserves to find a loving home where she’ll be cherished. This smart girl will do well in a home with plenty of activities and enrichment to keep her busy. Please ask to meet Jinx today!
