LILLY - ID#A746828

Not Available for Foster

My name is LILLY.

I am a spayed female, tan and black Labrador Retriever.

I weigh approximately 56.00 lbs.

The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old.

I have been at the shelter since Jun 20, 2021 and am ready to go home today!

I am currently in foster care but am available for adoption! If you are interested in adopting me, please email PACC.AdoptAFoster@pima.gov.

This information was refreshed 4 minutes ago and may not represent all of the animals at the Pima Animal Care Center - Tucson.
Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:

She is adorable and a very good dog.
She is housebroken using our dog door and enjoys chasing squirrels and lizards in our backyard. She is generally happy dog and has good energy for a walk at any time and would probably happily jog with an active person. She is very mellow in the house and enjoys napping, has never had a chewing problem, is smart and well balanced.

Lilly has leash reactivity (meaning she will lunge/bark insistently at other dogs when she is on the leash). We are working on training her with our neighbor's dog (and they are now friends and play), but she needs to be quickly corrected/distracted when she encounters a new dog on a leash. This is a bit of a challenge but she is making good progress in training with a clicker.

Lilly is being scheduled to have surgery at PACC on Sept 2 to remove 2 masses on her left flank. PACC was waiting for a stable foster situation (which we have now) before they scheduled. They will do x-rays at that time and hopefully the masses are benign so likely she probably is not a good candidate for adoption until after recovering from this surgery
