Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:

Upham is a middle-aged gent with a fancy name who was brought to PACC by an animal protection officer. He was caught in a trap (which as you can imagine was probably a pretty alarming experience) and was likely on his own for some time. Upham is shy when meeting new people, and is looking for a patient person or family who can let him adjust slowly to a new environment and who can work with him on gaining confidence with people and new situations.

Upham has made leaps and bounds with his trusted volunteer friends in the time hes been at the shelter, and is ready to continue his journey in a home. While he isnt ready to be your snuggle buddy, he has learned that gentle pets and scritches feel nice, and is showing more and more curiosity when meeting new folks. Upham may never be one of those dogs who is all over you all the time, but his gentle, calm personality will make him a great pal nonetheless.

When meeting other dogs in PACC playgroup, Upham did great and had a blast playing with the other pups. Hes become a playgroup regular and his personality really shines when he gets to be social with other dogs- hes goofy, silly, zoomy and happy! He'd like to meet any resident dogs before heading home just to make sure it's a good fit- Upham has pretty specific taste in TV (dark British crime dramas only), so if his future roomie is a reality TV junkie, it may not be a good match!
