Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Meet Gizmo!
This senior gentleman came to PACC as a stray with some old man issues. Gizmo needs a dental and is pretty much blind/deaf. He does well in a busy household with all sizes of dogs, pigs, and cats! Gizmo is still adjusting to all the new changes from coming to PACC, going in/out of foster homes, and he is looking for someone that would like to give this senior boy like him a place to call home and to dote on.

Gizmo has been spending some time in foster care and his most recent foster states: "I took Gizmo home to foster last night. He was stressed out on the car ride home but eventually made it onto the floor in the front passenger seat and he slept the rest of the way. When we arrived, he was greeted by 14 dogs ranging from 2 to 130 pounds, and he had no issues at all with the introduction. He didn't mind any of the dogs being close to him, and he was great with the cats and house pigs too. He ate and drank very well with occasional helping hand since he is blind. He is not afraid to walk around and explore. He does bump his head gently on things as he is learning the space, and he definitely loves corners and spaces where he can feel something on both sides of him, like squeezing between a wall and a box. He allowed me to give him both oral and topical meds, and he loves being held! He slept in my bed for an hour before he got antsy, so I crated him and he didn't make a peep for the rest of the night. He seems to be housebroken because he didn't potty in the house or in the crate, but he did as soon as I carried him outside. He's a very sweet dog that eats, drinks, pees, and poops normally, and I even got a tail wag from him. I believe his quality of life will be very good with someone who will take the extra time needed to care for him."
