Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
This unique guy is like a giant, doofusy puppy. In that sometimes his front end doesn't really know what his back end is doing kind of way. We are so smitten with his looks. He's got a labbie/shar pei body and face with those adorable wrinkles and a looooong body with proportionally short (corgi?) legs, and then these wiry terrier tufts on his feets, ears and chinny-chin-chin! Shere Khan loves to play fetch, splash in the pool and drops his ball nicely.

He's a big strong guy and loves to walk but can use some finishing school on the leash. The kennel is a stressful place for our boy and he's not always happy to go back to it after his outings. Because he's so strong and a bit socially awkward he can be a lot of dog to handle. He is looking for a strong person to be his plus-one.

Someone who can help him learn some excellent manners to go with his stunning good looks. Shere Khan is an affectionate guy in sort of a 12 year old boy kind of way ("stop it mom!" Followed by leaning into you for lots of love). Shere Khan was diagnosed with heartworm and is going to need to be put on very light duties while he undergoes treatment, so finding things to do with his brain and not his physical energy will be key.
