What does the name AKIRO mean you ask? The name Akiro is a Japanese boy's name that means "bright boy".
Well - if you are looking for just that in a canine companion then Akiro is destined to be your bright boy! He has been in our shelter for way too long - going on 5 months and he continues to somehow be overlooked and we cannot figure out why.

Akiro is
- low-maintence
- potty trained
- happy being with people or being left to his own devices
- loves to play - he can be found with one or more tennis balls in his mouth enjoying the fresh air outside, or cuddled up on the couch,
- he's fairly ordinary looking but when you see those hearts popping out of his eyes when he looks at you - you too will fall in love with him!

Akiro is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team.
