Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
This snow white girl with the cutest polka dot ears is Mona Lisa. She is an older girl at around 8 or 9 years old, and was surrendered for landlord issues, so no fault of her own. This sweet girl is spunky, friendly, enjoys attention, and loves running and jumping freely in our fenced yard and playing with toys. She is housetrained, good with kids, and does okay with male dogs. During intake, it was noted that Mona Lisa is a bit lumpy. Upon further examination, our veterinary team has determined she most likely has cancer. She shows no signs of pain or discomfort other than a little age-related stiffness in her hips. Mona Lisa is available to be adopted straight out, or she can be a pawspice foster and remain under our care for as long as she has quality of life. If you'd like to give this precious pup a soft place to land allowing her to live out her life surrounded by comfort and love, just come meet her at BAS.

Dog Day Out, 3/13/24:
Today, I met Mona Lisa and decided she deserved a break from the shelter and a little adventure. I couldn't take her for very long as I had an appointment to rush off to, but we went to TJ Maxx and Freddy's. Mona Lisa was an angel at both. She met lots of people, including a young girl that she absolutely adored and was so gentle with. She really likes meeting new people and getting pet. When we went to Freddy's they made her her own special sundae and she loved it! She was very good at not begging for my food once she was done with hers. She has great leash manners and is not reactive to anything. She is a pretty good car rider although she may benefit from being crated or wearing a seatbelt because she likes to explore all over while riding (climbing in the backseat, jumping up in your lap, going from window to window). She gets excited when she first comes out of the kennel but she mellowed out to a sweet old lady that took a nap on the ride back to the shelter. She was super sweet and so deserving of a home or foster!
