“Shiner will just melt your heart! He’s a spunky 1-2-year-old who loves to play tug and could do so all day long. He loves being with people and is very sweet. He’s potty trained once he understands your schedule. He’s active and responsive to positive reinforcement and he is very smart—he’ll be easy to train with some delicious treats and a lot of patience. He already knows how to sit and stay, and he does this adorable thing where he’ll put both paws on your chest and looks at you adoringly in your eyes. At this point, he is very much a puppy who would do well in a very active family who can take him on multiple walks and/or a jog daily. He would do well in a family with older children who are used to energetic dogs because of his tendency to jump and mouth gently. He appears to be dog friendly and responds very positively to my older, larger, male dog when leash walked. He has not been tested with cats, but slow introductions would probably be needed because of his love of playing and high energy. He most likely will chase a cat.”
