Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Cooper may be a little older but this handsome guy loves to be active. Cooper would benefit from a big yard to play in and it would be best if it was fenced in as true to his breed when he gets a scent he wants to go explore and see what it is. This medium energy gentleman does well with other dogs but needs a home with no cats, he also walks good on leash and enjoys getting time on his walks or in the yard sniffing around all the good smells like most hounds do. Cooper has mastered sit and has been working on learning other things as well (he is very treat motivated and gentle when taking treats which will go along way in helping with his training). Cooper's adoption fee is $150.00 and he is neutered, up to date on core vaccines (Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies) as well as microchipped, dewormed, Heartworm and Tick Disease tested and started on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. If interested in potentially adopting Cooper please email the canine department at jrein@carrollcountymd.gov to request an adoption application. Cooper currently weighs 49 pounds.
