*COWBOY**
(A233961)
I appear to be a neutered male, red and brown, Hound who is estimated to be 6 years old. Shelter staff named me Cowboy**.

Hello! Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you'll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.

I have been at the shelter since Mar 13, 2024.

(A212502)
I appear to be a neutered male, black and brown, Hound mix who is estimated to be 3 years old.

Hi there! My name is Maui. I am a mediun sized, energetic and smart fella. I enjoy going on adventures and eating yummy treats. I have a lot of energy and need to work on my doggie manners so I would do best in a home where my family can train with me and give me physical/mental enrichment. I can be head shy but once I warm up, I am a love bug :) Please ask staff if you have anymore questions about me.... Click my picture to read more about me.

"My name is Fezziwig and I came as a transfer from another shelter, I am a super sweet guy who would love to be your next companion."
Don’t let the gorgous gray on Fezzi’s face keep you from giving him a second look: he is athletic, curious and attentive on a leash. He has a happy, playful attitude. He lives his best life when on a walk, wagging his tail and smelling the smells.

BEAU
(A232350)
I appear to be a neutered male, blue and brown, English Coonhound (Redtick Coonhound) who is estimated to be 4 years old.
Hi there! I am a handsome, large-sized, chill and curious fella looking for a furever home. I am a hound, so I love going for walks, sniffing around and seeing the big wide world. I am good on a leash, attentive and friendly with the staff, and show I’m a happy guy by my engaged walking, tail wagging and an occasional happy barking when I see something interesting on the trail. My previous owner mentioned that I do well around new people and have done ok around other dogs in the past, but staff still recommends slow and monitored introd... *DOLLY
(A234415)
I appear to be a spayed female, black brindle, Plott Hound who is estimated to be 1 year, 6 months old. Shelter staff named me Dolly.

Hello everyone! This is Dolly and she is a beautiful brindle beauty. She was found wandering around someone's yard with her sister, Loretta, and they were picked up and brought here to OCAS. Since both dogs were found as strays, we do not know much about their history. Dolly is a little more curious and willing to trust people than her sister is and she loves treats and takes them gently. It can take some time for Dolly to adjust to new people and situations, so she would benefit from a home who can be patient with her while she learns all ... Click my picture to read more about me.
