*FLAPJACK

(A160562)

Location:
I'm at BAS
I am a neutered male, tan dog who is estimated to be 1 year, 2 months old. Shelter staff named me Flapjack.

Saturday mornings are perfect for enjoying warm, fluffy flapjacks topped with butter and syrup, right? How about every morning? Afternoon? Evening? Well, if you adopt our Flapjack, you can do just that! This cute little guy was running around stray and got into a scuffle with some other dogs. We're not sure who started it, but Flapjack did not end up as the winner. This poor fella seems to have had a rough past and bears some evidence of living life primarily outdoors. But he hasn't let that break his spirit. Flapjack is friendly and sweet, and... Click my picture to read more about me.

I am available for adoption. To schedule a meet and adopt appointment, go to www.burlingtonNC.gov/pets.

We've said this before, but it's the truth--it's amazing what a little TLC and good food can do. This cute little girl is Angelica and she showed up at BAS a little over 3 weeks ago as a stray. She was extremely thin, weighing a mere 29 lbs. She had very little strength or interest in anything, and mostly laid on her bed in her kennel. Fast forward to now and a whole new and much healthier girl has emerged! Angelica has gained almost 20 much needed pounds and looks so much better. More importantly, she has energy and enjoys playtime in our play... Click my picture to read more about me.

Fun, playful, clownish, and smart--the words that seem to describe Moose. This super cute fella was picked up by the Burlington Police Department a few weeks ago and brought to BAS. He's definitely not a criminal and did nothing wrong, he was just a lost pup who didn't find his way back home. Moose is at least 5 years old and knows some basic commands. He has a happy and friendly personality, and he's ready to bring much laughter, happiness, and love to a lucky person or family's life. Moose did test positive for heartworm but we will be taking... Dog Day Out 4/16/24:
Daisy and I went to two different parks to do some scenic walking and lounging in the shade! Daisy and I did some walking at the park - she is great on the leash! We got a bit hot so we ventured to Whit’s for a quick pup cup. After that we decided to try a different park. We found a park with lots of trees and natural shade. We walked until we found a cool spot to lay out, get belly rubs, more treats :), and play with a ball. All-in-all it was a wonderful afternoon (it was too short)! We saw a few other dogs and she did ... Click my picture to read more about me.

I have been at the shelter since Mar 01, 2024.

Foster notes, 4/17/24:
Rocky is a sweet, loving, and very simple dog. He is the most happy when he is just hanging out with his family, getting lots of belly rubs, and going on walks. He doesn’t know how to play with toys but we are working on that! He is house trained and knows the command sit. He walks extremely well on the leash. He never barks and he is well-behaved when left alone. We typically take him out on the leash to go to the bathroom 3-4 times a day and that has worked perfectly for him. He does not like to be locked in his crat... Click my picture to read more about me.

Foster notes:

3/31/24 - I am fostering this distinguished older gentleman named Porthos, who I call Buddy. He is around 7 years old and weighs about 80 pounds. He may be deaf or hard of hearing as he only reacts to loud sounds. He is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever known and for being such a big boy he is so gentle. If you are looking for a good companion to share your space on the couch this fellow definitely fits the bill. He is house trained and laid back, no food aggression, good with strangers and he seems very quiet. He will m... Click my picture to read more about me.
