*ATLAS

(A159302)

Location:
I'm at BAS
I am a neutered male, white and black dog who is estimated to be 2 years, 4 months old. Shelter staff named me Atlas.

I was found as a stray in Alamance County and I have been at the shelter since Dec 26, 2023.

I am available for adoption. To schedule a meet and adopt appointment, go to www.burlingtonNC.gov/pets.

In Greek mythology, Atlas is the God of strength and endurance, and is known as the Titan who carries the world upon his shoulders. Well, our Atlas probably hasn't carried that much weight, but he likely has a few tales to tell. To start with, how it is that he ended up running loose at a rest stop along I-40 in Burlington. That had to be scary! This little guy is around 2 years old, and he has shown nothing but sweetness since arriving at BAS the day after Christmas. Atlas is ready for a second chance at love and a forever home, so if you'd li... Click my picture to read more about me.

*BAMBINO

(A154141)

Location:
I'm at BAS
I am a neutered male, gray and white dog who is estimated to be 1 year, 10 months old. Shelter staff named me Bambino.

I have been at the shelter since Jan 25, 2024.

I am available for adoption. To schedule a meet and adopt appointment, go to www.burlingtonNC.gov/pets.

Handsome Bambino came to us as a stray in mid June and has been a great BAS resident. He's almost 2 years old and is a happy boy (especially when a pool is involved!).

Dog Day Out notes, 4/19/24:
Bambino went on a hike at the beautiful Cates Farm Park in Mebane. He's one smart and friendly boy. He pulled on the leash at first and would get excitable in the car, around other dogs, and when other people passed. But he is easily corrected with some instruction on the leash. He's very treat-motivated and will sit for treats. After a hike... Click my picture to read more about me.

I'm at BAS

I was found as a stray in Burlington and I have been at the shelter since Feb 14, 2024.

Buck is sharing his best smiles to show you what you could enjoy EVERY day if you adopt him! This happy, friendly guy came in with 2 other dogs a few weeks ago. Buck is such a nice boy. He is 2 years old and is a good size at 66 lbs. He would probably love a fenced yard to play in and maybe some kids, too. Buck has been a well-behaved guest at BAS but he is ready to say, "adios and hasta la vista" to shelter life. We will be closed for the Easter holiday starting tomorrow, so come meet and adopt Buck today!

I was surrendered and I have been at the shelter since Sep 11, 2023.

Meet Butch, a 5 year old boy who is has been waiting patiently to get adopted. The only thing he requires is some balls and toys. Butch LOVES balls and toys, so make sure you have an ample supply! Butch is a really nice, friendly boy who likes people (children included!), but would probably do best as the only four-legged member of the family. He was surrendered due to no fault of his own, and he's ready for a second chance for a loving forever home. If you'd like to adopt this handsome boy, just come to BAS and ask to meet Butch! *CAPPIE

(A160284)

Location:
I'm in FOSTER
I am a neutered male, black dog who is estimated to be 3 years old. Shelter staff named me Cappie.

I was found as a stray in Alamance County and I have been at the shelter since Feb 07, 2024.

I am available for adoption! Email fosterpets@burlingtonnc.gov to meet me.

This is Cappie and he decided we should switch things up and do Teeth Out Tuesday instead of Tongue Out Tuesday. We agree, and also think he gets an A++ for the best smile, too! He showed up at BAS as a stray a couple of weeks ago, very thin and emaciated (due to pesky intestinal parasites), but friendly and as sweet as could be. We're making sure this handsome boy is getting plenty of good food so he can fill out to a healthy weight soon. Cappie is estimated to be around 3 years old and he would like to get adopted into a home where he will no... Click my picture to read more about me.

I am a neutered male, white and tan dog who is estimated to be 1 year, 6 months old. Shelter staff named me Copper.

I was found as a stray in Burlington and I have been at the shelter since Oct 09, 2023.

I am available for adoption. To schedule a meet and adopt appointment, go to www.burlingtonNC.gov/pets.

Copper is a young boy at around a year old. He is a friendly boy who bonds quickly and is very affectionate. If you're sitting, he wants to be in your lap! He already knows the sit command, and entertains himself very well with chew toys and plush toys. He has fetch down pat, but don't count on him bringing the ball back to you right away--'chase' is another favorite game! Copper also seems to have housetraining down for the most part, but may need a little more practice. He truly has such a sweet face and personality, and would make a great a... Dog Day Out 4/16/24:
Daisy and I went to two different parks to do some scenic walking and lounging in the shade! Daisy and I did some walking at the park - she is great on the leash! We got a bit hot so we ventured to Whit’s f... Click my picture to read more about me.

*FLAPJACK

(A160562)

Location:
I'm at BAS
I am a neutered male, tan dog who is estimated to be 1 year, 2 months old. Shelter staff named me Flapjack.

I was found as a stray in Alamance County and I have been at the shelter since Feb 19, 2024.

I am available for adoption. To schedule a meet and adopt appointment, go to www.burlingtonNC.gov/pets.

Saturday mornings are perfect for enjoying warm, fluffy flapjacks topped with butter and syrup, right? How about every morning? Afternoon? Evening? Well, if you adopt our Flapjack, you can do just that! This cute little guy was running around stray and got into a scuffle with some other dogs. We're not sure who started it, but Flapjack did not end up as the winner. This poor fella seems to have had a rough past and bears some evidence of living life primarily outdoors. But he hasn't let that break his spirit. Flapjack is friendly and sweet, and... Click my picture to read more about me.
