Dog Day Out, 1/30/24:
We took Luna for a walk through the woods near the shelter and then for a car ride to Elon University. She was somewhat timid there and seemed to want to go for another car ride.

- Walked well on leash (No or low amount of pulling)

He seems to do very well in a crate. Knows how to sit, lay down and wait. He likes to bite the leash but just out of boredom I think, he shouldn't take too long to drop that habit, he seems very intelligent. Had no reaction to hearing my dogs barking, although I did not introduce him to dogs or cats so I can't comment on that. He was so sweet, loves toys (especially soft ones) and seems to be a snuggler. Dixie is almost finished with her heartworm treatment and is doing well but isn't allowed to get excited or play too much for another couple of weeks. She's sweet but doesn't want anyone but me to take her to potty. She loves my great grandkids who are 2 years to 10 years old. She barks when anyone comes to the house but will stop after about 2 minutes when she starts feeling comfortable. She looks out the storm door at other dogs walking by and will bark. Tiny is quick to make friends with any humans; she loves pets and cuddles. She thrives when she can spend time outdoors and can be in a yard unsupervised. She enjoys 1-3 mile walks daily. She is very alert around other dogs and can be guarded. If going to a home with another dog, a proper introduction is necessary. She is housetrained. She gets a little sad when left home alone but has no destructive behaviors. She knows "sit" and "heel".

Dale is estimated to be around 8 years young and he is such a nice boy with an equally nice personality. He came to BAS as a stray and has a fairly minor eye condition we are taking care of with meds and treatment. Soon enough, that will be cleared up and this happy guy will be seeing so well, he might help you spot Santa and his reindeer during their Christmas Eve flight! Ellie is a sweet senior girl. She’s is extremely friendly with people, dogs, and other animals, and is very gentle with everyone. She has some broken teeth which makes it hard for her to chew at times, so we water down her food for her. She’s completely potty trained and doesn’t bark or chew or destroy anything. She enjoys meeting new people,is cuddly and affectionate, and walks well on leash.
