Pie is an extremely affectionate dog that has lived most of his life in the shelter. He would benefit from some training as he can be hyper but this is at no fault of his own. Having another playmate helps with his energy. Because Pie hasn’t had a lot of interactions with other dogs and been able to be a pup himself, all he wants to do is play while the other dogs are wanting to rest. Smile and get your zoomies going! This happy chap is Vic and he came to BAS as a stray. He had a couple of boo boos that might have been the result of being hit by a car. But he has been checked out by our awesome vet team and seems to be fit as a fiddle. We estimate him to be around a year or so old, and he is quite friendly and playful! We believe he gets along with other dogs and would make a great family pet for just about anyone.

Rockafella is a good boy. He is a senior guy who has done well to meet and continue to greet the neighborhood children. He is anxious around unknown people and pets. So far, I have been unable to do much about his dislike of cats. It seems to be one of the only things that set him off. He takes 2 walks per day (am and pm), and gets to go out off leash in the back yard as often as he asks. Buck is sharing his best smiles to show you what you could enjoy EVERY day if you adopt him! This happy, friendly guy came in with 2 other dogs a few weeks ago. Buck is such a nice boy. He is 2 years old and is a good size at 66 lbs. He would probably love a fenced yard to play in and maybe some kids, too. Buck has been a well-behaved guest at BAS but he is ready to say, "adios and hasta la vista" to shelter life. We will be closed for the Easter holiday starting tomorrow, so come meet and adopt Buck today!

Fun, playful, clownish, and smart--the words that seem to describe Moose. This super cute fella was picked up by the Burlington Police Department and brought to BAS. He's definitely not a criminal and did nothing wrong, he was just a lost pup who didn't find his way back home. Moose is at least 5 years old and knows some basic commands. He has a happy and friendly personality, and he's ready to bring much laughter, happiness, and love to a lucky person or family's life.
