Poppy is what we call a "tiny tiger" - born outside and frightened of people and our unfamiliar ways. Our staff and volunteers have been working hard to socialize Poppy, and they've made great progress. She still has a way to go, and we're happy to advise and support anyone who wants to add her to their family. Riley arrived at the shelter having lost the only home she had known. As you can imagine she was uncertain and scared. With gentle love and attention, Riley has made some progress in her socialization but remains on the fearful side. Riley closes her eyes when we use a back scratcher on her back and is just beginning to discover how much fun it is to play (see her video). Bluebell flew to New England on a transport from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. Bluebell is very playful, she loves chasing stuffed mice and bringing them to you, she will loudly cry for your attention to show you her catch!
