Hey there! My name is Jazz and I certainly live up to my name! I’m a sleek, fit gal with a beautiful face (with a charming dividing line straight down the middle of my forehead!) that shows off my white and tan features in the cutest, jazziest way ever! My adorable face also includes the most expressive eyes and wonderfully perky ears you’ve ever seen! I have a long tail that when standing at attention, has a beautiful curl in it. I also have the cutest freckles, plus one big spot on my side!
I am the perfect combination of energy and laid-back cuddler. I love to play and run but I also like snuggling up with humans and getting pets. I’m content to hang out at your feet and just love being with you. If you leave the room I may whine or bark a bit, but it’s just to let you know how much I love being with you. The humans who work with me say I am very sweet, smart, and eager to please. It’s true! I’ve learned a lot and I want to learn more! Some of the things I know already are not to go potty in the house, and to be a good girl when I go into my crate. And even though I get excited and jump up on my humans (and countertops), I’m being taught that it’s not good manners. I need someone who is willing to continue working with me on my house manners a bit more (it’s not my fault...I haven’t had anyone teach me these things earlier in life).
I am good on my walks, and even like my harness, but I still need some help learning not to pull. And even though I can get very excited when I see any little creatures like lizards, birds, and rabbits, all you’ve gotta do is give me something else to focus on and I’ll stop lunging. I love going on hikes, too, so if long treks into the desert are your thing, then I’m the girl for you! I’d probably enjoy being a running buddy, also.
I absolutely love squeaky and chew toys so it would be so cool if I could have some of those in my furever home. I also really like other doggos my size and get along great with them. Sometimes smaller doggos bug me….so if you have smaller dogs or cats in your house, it’s probably best if we meet first.
