Stanley is truly a giant puppy at just over a year old and needs an active home to thrive. He lived with his people for about six months prior to coming to PACC, but his family’s living situation was changing and they could no longer keep him. Stanley’s family described him as a very sweet boy who has done well around kiddos as young as seven. Stanley is a typical goofy puppy and comes with all the standard puppy shenanigans! Here’s what a few of his volunteer friends have said about him: “I’ve been spending time in a play yard with Stanley for the last 2 months. I have worked with Stanley on not jumping and being calmer, and he’s made good progress. Now he comes into the yard excited, but after a few moments, settles in and accepts love and treats, which make him very happy. He is a very lovely boy when he calms down. He is a delightful dog- affectionate, attentive, and responsive. Stanley is a diamond in the rough who will thrive with patience and training.” “Stanley is very energetic in the yard, running around. He knows sit and takes treats gently. He’s sweet and affectionate and full of zip!” “Stanley is a happy puppy who's very playful. He plays well with his kennel mate and LOVES to cuddle in between zoomies. He has a real black lab personality.” Stanley has been in the shelter for too long and needs a committed family to show him the ropes in a new home. This active, intelligent dog needs a bit of training and structure, but has so much potential to be an excellent family companion and adventure buddy. Stanley has had numerous kennelmates while at the shelter and had been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Stanley today! |
