Maximus came into the shelter as a stray on 1/25/24. We had high hopes of reuniting him with his family because he came in wearing a collar and had a microchip, but unfortunately he has not yet been reclaimed. He has a distinctive scar all along his back that has long since healed. No telling what happened to him to get it, but it adds to his rugged good looks.

Maximus has the manners of a gentleman. He’s a great leash walker and already knows how to sit on command for a treat. He takes treats gently from your hand too. He can be aloof, but he’s always a good boy. He’s just very independent and self-sufficient. He takes his entertainment into his own paws! He’s not one to sit by your side and be pet for long. He enjoys squeaky toys a lot though! He has an average energy level.
