FLYNN - ID#A922210

My name is FLYNN.

I am a neutered male, black and tan German Shepherd Dog and Collie - Smooth.

The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 3 months old.

I have been at the shelter since Jun 20, 2022.

This information is less than 1 hour old.
Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Flynn just might be the most handsome dog in the world. We believe he is some type of shepherd or collie mix (both working dogs!) based on his appearance, energy level and demeanor. He is a high energy and intelligent dog that will need some guidance from his new family.

He has some behaviour concerns that will require a very patient and experienced owner. We have worked with a professional trainer and would recommend his new owner continue with the training to ensure he blossoms into a great family pet. Flynn really enjoys working with his human during training. This type of environment helped relieve some of his energy and will be the key to his continued success.

Flynn's ideal home will be very active. He is easily distracted so will need someone who can burn off some energy before he's able to focus for a lesson (obedience, for example). At this time he should only participate in playdates (or small groups) with other dogs that have a matched energy level in a controlled setting. We would not recommend a home with small children as Flynn is easily over-stimulated which could result in jumping and mouthing.

If you think Flynn might be the right fit for your family, then please contact Toronto Animal Services West shelter at 416-338-6271 during regular business hours for more information. Meet & greets and adoptions are scheduled BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!
