Cute Shortcake coming your way! I came to the animal center in January and I was afraid of everything, but in foster care I've come a long way. But, I still have a ways to go and am looking for a dog savvy home.

My best features: Cute (obviously), and I really enjoy the company of friendly dogs. I love to play, eat and nap. I am about 80% potty trained, and still working on it. I taught myself to use the doggy door and am eager to learn new things. If you're looking for a dog on the smaller to medium size, I would be a great choice.

I am a work in progress, though. I still have stranger danger (though I calm down a lot faster than I used to) and I am not really comfortable with being pet yet.

What I need to be my best:

A home with a backyard, because I am still scared of the leash
Another dog companion to play and cuddle with
A patient foster parent or forever parent who will work with me on my fears

I am still very young and my foster mom thinks I have a lot of potential. I just need some help and a lot of patience.
