Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Like your guy to be chiseled, handsome, wise and oh so sweetly soft?
Meet Cooper, he's the whole package.
He'll gently put his paws in your lap to ask for some snuggles.
He really shines with people and can share space and play with a canine friend too.

He loves leisurely daily walks if that's in the cards, and doesn't even pay attention to occasional squirrels and cats.
His energy is between low and medium - of course he's a solid believer in beauty naps.
When he has extra energy in the house, he’ll grab a toy or a chew and tackle it.
He's trusted loose at home alone, is non-destructive and is very house trained.
He’s shown solid skills with older children in his foster home.

Does he sound like just the right fit you're looking for? Hurry to meet him onsite when in the shelter (check location on his link) or when in foster, use the ADOPT ME button to start a conversation with his foster provider. He's advocated for by his many friends and fans including ClassicCaninesATX who help make land bridges out of the shelter for displaced mature shelter dogs. Know that your fostering or adopting a shelter animal is vital to Austin's no kill mission. Don't delay another day when a shelter dog is waiting to resume their life.
