The adoption fee is waived for Josephine and ALL Desperate Housecats! Josephine is a classic hidey cat in the shelter! Hiding makes her feel safe and secure. She is very affectionate once she gets to know you and enjoys being petted and given chin scratches, and will even purr and show you her belly after awhile. Josephine is part of our Cactus Cat program to help her build confidence and trust with people while she is at the shelter. We don’t think it will take long for her to come out of her shell, especially in a home, but she will need some patience and understanding on the part of her adopter. We think Josephine is a “succulent” Cactus Cat. These cats are low-maintenance and easygoing. With plenty of treats and slow, steady trust-building, you could find common ground and friendship!
